AAC Community is an effort to unite all individuals concerned with communication rights for Pennsylvanians with intellectual disability, autism, movement difficulties and other disabilities that create complex communication needs. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is any form of communication other than spoken/oral language used to express thoughts, needs, wants and ideas.

With funding from the Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs for the Institute on Disabilities, Pennsylvania’s Initiative on Assistive Technology developed and supports this project. This Assistive Technology Initiative is one of the programs of the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University.

Join the conversation in this AAC Community!
