Vote Like Your Life Depends On It

We live in a participatory democracy.  Whatever your political beliefs, our society is best served when everyone takes part in the electoral process.  And I mean everyone!  People with disabilities are often disenfranchised; from inaccessible polling places, to lack of transportation.

We all deserve to be able to exercise the right to vote, and this includes people with intellectual disabilities and those who use AAC.

This afternoon, October 31st, 2018, Self Advocates United as 1 is sponsoring a webinar: Let’s Talk About Voting! The guest speaker will be Gabe Labella, a staff attorney with Disability Rights PA.  Join in and learn about your rights.
